Accountant

The ONE Group are delighted to be partnering with a local boarding school based in a beautiful village in Rutland, who hold an outstanding reputation in the local area.
This is an exciting and newly created position that will see you positioned as an Accountant working in their small but busy finance team. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of end to end payroll as well the nuts and bolts of accounting.
If you are looking to make your first move out of practice then this would also be a great next step.
Reporting into the Finance controller, you will be responsible for:

• End to end and monthly payroll
• Payroll journals & reconciliation of payroll
• Payroll KPIs
• Debits, credits, processing and bank reconciliations
• Investigating variances
• Payroll budgeting
• Data analysis

So, what does the ideal candidate look like? You will need to be efficient on Excel and display a ground understanding of both payroll and accounts. Qualifications aren't essential, but candidates that are studying towards an accounting qualification will be of particular interest.
The full time hours for the role are 35, but applications looking for around 30 will be also be considered and the salary is paying up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience.
