Accountant Finance Operations

Accountant | 12 month FTC | £50,000-£55,000 | London/Hybrid

Arthur Financial have partnered with a global insurer to support with their search for an Accountant (Finance Ops) to cover a maternity leave for 12 months. This role will be based in London and will be part of the Finance Operations team.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring they are completed, and reconciled transactions are cleared on time (including fixed assets, leases, payroll, VAT, accruals and other balance sheet accounts).
• Expense analysis
• Inter-branch and inter-company accounting including reconciliations, clearing balances and arranging settlements.
• Support accounts payable, working with accounts assistants to ensure payments are made promptly and recorded correctly.
• Liaising with internal tax team in relation to VAT and Corporate Income Tax and support as required such as provision of data for on time tax filings.
• Support Finance Operations with initiatives relating to growth plans including launch of new products, integration of new systems and processes.
• Design, document, and implement controls around key processes.
• Understand end-to-end reporting processes.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Part-Qualified/Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
• Insurance industry experience desired
• Solid understanding of financial processes
