Salary: £44,680 (plus London Weighting, £3,344, if applicable) per annum

We have an exciting opening for an Accountant to join the British Red Cross International directorate. It's a demanding but fulfilling role with an organisation-wide remit. You will be involved in providing advice on accounting and tax issues. You will help in our adherence to the highest standards of regulatory compliance. You'll be part of a team seeking to maximise the financial performance of the organisation. You'll do this through financial planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting to aid decision making across all functions.
The work you will do will be crucial to the work of the organisation, and therefore vital to the lives of those in crisis. Your skills directly contribute to supporting our efforts; making a real difference in the lives of those we aim to help.
The role of Accountant might be for you if...
- You're a CCAB qualified accountant (or part-qualified, and working towards qualification), with sound knowledge of accounting standards and practices.
- You're highly computer literate with substantial experience in Excel, Word and computerised financial systems. Experience of Agresso, SAP or similar accounting software an advantage.
- You’re able to plan and manage substantial projects and activities.
- You have experience of working within a complex organisation.
- You have a genuine affinity with our purpose and drive to make a positive personal impact.
- You have a keen eye for detail, with problem-solving, decision-making and effective communication skills.
- Experience of building (and maintaining) strong and effective relationships at all levels, both internal and external.
