Accounts Assistant

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work with a growing, vibrant graphics company based in Watford. We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our finance department.
The ideal candidate will have experience in an office environment and have a reasonable understanding and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel etc).
Responsibilities
Your role will be to support the day to day functions of the finance department, with responsibility for a variety of administrative and bookkeeping tasks including, but not limited to:
Recording purchase ledger entries
Reconciling purchase ledger accounts
Dealing with telephone and email queries from customers and suppliers
Set up and maintain supplier details, ensuring company procedures are followed.
Sending customer statements and chasing outstanding invoices
Candidate requirements:
A minimum of one years' experience working within a finance department
A reliable team player with a willing attitude to learn and help.
Experience of dealing with information in a discreet and professional manner.
Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office
Previous Experience of using Sage/Quickbooks or Xero.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to work independently with a high attention to detail.
