Our client is one of the South West's largest independent insurance brokers, providing bespoke insurance and risk management advice to several niche industries.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual looking to join this thriving and well-respected business. The salary is up to £30,000 per annum.
Benefits and Package for an Accounts Administrator:
- Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
- Hours: Monday - Friday, full-time
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Location: Bristol City Centre (near Temple Meads Station)
- Once you have passed the probation period, there is an option to work hybrid (2 days at home)
Key Responsibilities of an Accounts Administrator:
- Daily posting of cash receipts, payments and journals
- Maintaining and balancing the cashbook, reconciling payments with unpaid invoice records and daily banking
- Ensuring insurer accounts are reconciled monthly and paid strictly within the terms of credit which apply
- Assisting with general accounts department administration
- Ensuring all month-end routines are strictly adhered to
Key Skills and Experience of an Accounts Administrator:
- Bookkeeping experience ideally in the financial industry is required
- You should either hold or are working towards a minimum of AAT level 4
- Previous experience with handling accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, credit control and paying suppliers is required
- Dealing with accounting software (experience with Xero and Sage is advantageous)
- You will need to have excellent attention to detail and to be a fast learner
