NLB Solutions are working with a business based in Hemel Hempstead to recruit for an Accounts Administrator. The Accounts Administrator will work in a small finance team and support them on the billing and credit control side of things. There will be involvement in sales invoicing, expenses reports and checking sub-contractor details are complying with the law. The business are refurbishing the offices and will need to add again to the team as they have growing over the last 2 years and securing new contracts for a number of large housing projects and associations.
The company work in the office for 5 days a week and need someone that is able to fit in with the operational requirements and work between 8 and 5 as standard hours. Duties:
Ensure supplier bills are posted in line with financial month end Chase suppliers for credit notes on queried purchase orders Chase approval from Project Managers for contractor invoices Assist with any other accounts tasks such as Sales invoicing, Credit Control and any other ad-hoc tasks as instructed Running weekly expense report Completing supplier credit application forms Assist where necessary in obtaining purchase orders from clients to ensure smooth running of Sales invoicing Assist with onboarding of new sub-contractors, obtaining insurances and accreditations Assist with then engagement of new starters Chase insurance certificates and accreditations from Subcontractor annually upon expiry Prepare training agreements for staff and ensure staff sign and return them Receiving calls and directing or actioning To review monthly vehicle defect reports and action accordingly Reviewing the vehicle handbook & carryout DVLA driving license checks & performance of drivers periodically To liaise with Insurance brokers to add/ remove vehicles from insurance policy To assist in managing fuel cards, dart charges & congestion charge accounts Person Spec:
Ideally experience of working in accounts team or administration role previously Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 especially Excel Good communication skills Attention to detail is essential
