We are working with a well respected business in the Scarborough area who is looking to increase their finance team. This is a full time position where you will be able to grow within the job as the business grows.
What the Accounts Assistant job involves
- Managing the purchase ledger function from start to finish, matching and batching invoices, posting journals and dealing with payment runs.
- Dealing with supplier statement reconciliations.
- Processing all sales invoices, making sure that all accounts are dealt with in the agreed terms and timescales.
- Reconciling credit cards, petty cash and expenses.
This job would suit someone who is studying towards their AAT with purchase ledger and / or sales ledger experience who is looking for a more varied accounts position, or someone who is looking to work for a bigger business to increase their knowledge and expertise within accounts.
Skills required
- Previous accounts experience is essential.
- Use of accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks or similar.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel.

- Full time, 9.00 5.30 with an hour for lunch.
