SalaryOur client, an award-winning communications agency based in Farringdon, has an opening for a Finance Assistant to join their growing finance team.
Ideally you will be studying towards ACCA or CIMA qualification along with being a high achiever who is self-motivated and ambitious with infallible attention to detail and a drive for excellence in all you do.
This role offer’s financial study support and hands-on, on the job training.
Accounts Assistant responsibilities:
- Managing the Account Receivable process
- Daily reconciliation of all multi-currency accounts to bank statement
- Review all Purchase Ledger input (supplier invoices, credit cards, petty cash, etc.) ensuring coding, dates, descriptions and VAT treatment are all correct and that all expenditure is in line with company policy
- Cost of sales reconciliation
- Assist in month end Revenue Reconciliation
- Manage the Accounts Inbox ensuring all queries are resolved and issues are escalated appropriately, in a timely manner
- Assist in preparing accurate and timely management accounts
- Assist in identifying and investigating variances
- Help prepare quarterly VAT return
- Act as cover for the Finance Assistant
Skills and qualifications
Ideally you will be currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA qualification along with great understanding of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS and complex formulas), with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
The role is on a hybrid basis with one day a week in the office.
In return the client is offering a salary of up to £35,000 plus study support.
