Working within a small finance team, you will be maintaining all aspects of the Sales ledger and chasing outstanding balances, as well as aspects of the Purchase Ledger and supporting the Finance Manager on assist with production of weekly and monthly financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process sales invoices and applications, ensuring timely delivery to clients;
- Chasing outstanding debtors and reviewing customer accounts and credit control processes;
- Reconcile client remittances and payments received;
- Assisting in process purchase invoices and expenses;
- Monitor invoice authorisation and outstanding purchase orders and resolve disputes internally and externally;
- Prepare supplier payment schedules and send remittances;
- Reconcile and input weekly timecard reports;
- Conduct bank reconciliations;
- Prepare monthly CIS and VAT returns for Finance Manager approval;
- Reconcile sales and purchases monthly to work plans and management accounts;
- Maintaining correct storage and analysis of all accounting documentation in compliance with financial policies and procedures;
- Shared reception duties - meet and greet visitors, general office duties and answering and directing calls to the appropriate department.
You will ideally possess the following:
- Excellent experience in processing Sales ledger & Purchase Ledger invoices;
- Experience working within credit control and chasing outstanding credit;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to resolve customer and supplier queries;
- Attention to detail;
- Outgoing personality and able to converse with all levels within a small business.
