We are working exclusively with our Northampton based client who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their successful team on a part-time basis.
Working alongside the Finance Manager, duties will include:
* Purchase ledger responsibilities which include invoice processing, matching, posting and filing.
* Sending our sales invoices and remittances by email and post.
* Reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts.
* The setting up of new customer and supplier accounts.
* Undertaking responsibilities related to cash recording, banking, employee expenses and credit cards.
* Provide assistance with bank reconciliations, fully investigating any discrepancies.
* Assist with credit control and chasing debt.
* Provide assistance with weekly sales reports and analysis.
* Assist with month end duties, payment runs and ad hoc reporting.
* Update the customs import log on a weekly basis.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in an Accounts team, a positive and flexible approach and a willingness to help others and contribute to the success of the business. They will possess excellent communication skills and working knowledge of Excel.
Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 annum (pro rata)
Hours of work: 20 hours per week over 3 days (flexible) Between 8am-5pm
25 days holiday + statutory bank holidays (pro rata)
