Job Title: Part-Time Accounts Assistant
Location: Watford, United Kingdom
Industry: Automotive
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Company Overview:
Our client is a leading automotive company based in Watford, dedicated to providing high-quality products and services to thier clients. As part of a dynamic team, they are currently seeking a diligent and organised Accounts Assistant to join them on a part-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to thier finance department and support operations.
Position Overview:
The Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role in the finance department, primarily responsible for processing invoices, handling bank payments, and providing administrative support. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a proactive approach to their work.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Process approximately 10 invoices per day into Sage 50 accounting software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle bank payments and reconcile transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Follow up on inquiries related to invoices, payments, and other financial matters, providing timely and professional responses.
  • Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed to support the finance team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on various projects to contribute to the overall success of the department.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software is highly desirable.Will be moving over to Xero
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy while processing invoices and payments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently in a part-time work schedule.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
