This fast paced and varied role will present the chance for you to hone and develop your existing skillset, as well as, providing full study support (should you require it). Joining this team is stepping into a welcoming and helpful team of finance professionals with a vivid culture.
The role is primarily office based with 1 day per week working from home, with offices based in Wakefield and free on-site parking.
This role:
- End to end ownership of Purchase Ledger
- Receiving and processing invoices, allocating,
- Supplier statement reconciliation,
- Ssending remittances and making supplier payments
- Updating daily cash books and sending weekly cash reports
- Paying weekly/monthly subcontractors
- Raising credit notes
- Weekly expenses – small number of employees who are eligible to use expenses
- Bank reconciliations – carried out daily, in the morning and kept on top of
- Processing daily POs
- Month end support with posting of prepayments.
- Accruals, fixed asset depreciations
- Reconciling revenue in sage to operational KPI reports.
- Other ad-hoc tasks and holiday cover as required, with scope to gain more exposure
Experience/Qualifications /Skills:
- Part or Fully Qualified AAT and with ambitions to study CIMA/ACCA
- Good knowledge of excel (vlookups, pivot tables etc)
- Preferable to have experience of using Sage 200
- Experience covering multiple entities is beneficial
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate accuracy and pay attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills – approachable and down to earth with good communication skills
Salary and benefits:
- £27,000 - £32,000
