SALARY UP TO £35K PER ANNUM DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
A civil engineering/groundworks company, now require an experienced accounting person to join a small team based at their head office in Watford. This is a varied role dealing with the general accounting work of the Company. Reporting directly into a hands-on Financial Controller, there will be the opportunity to learn Management Accounts, would suit someone studying towards AAT or similar.
Key Tasks
- Purchase ledger and sales ledger experience.
- Strong understanding of general finance administration.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Monitoring of sales ledger to include the posting of remittances and ensuring timely payment of invoices.
- Journal posting,
- Supplier invoice posting and statement reconciliations.
- Handling supplier queries efficiently.
- Assisting with month end routines.
- Reporting – daily, weekly, month end.
- Preparation of Management Accounts support.
Profile
- Strong IT skills.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Previous experience in all round accounting functions.
- Consistent and disciplined attitude.
8.30am-5.00pm - Monday - Friday
