Accounts Assistant

RM Recruit are excited to be working with a terrific organisation based in Sutton Coldfield who are on the lookout for a strong Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis working 21 hours per week. This role is based onsite three days per week and is a 6-month contract role with the scope to become permanent.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of the organisation’s day-to-day financial operations.

Main duties include, but not be limited to:

• Processing authorised purchase invoices, payment and grant drawdown requests and prepare payments for approval.
• Processing all journals raised by the Finance team.
• Preparing demands for rent, insurance rent and service charge rent, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review outstanding debtors with Property Manager, collection of rents and update the ledger for receipts.
• Assistance with, and preparation of periodic management accounts and finance reports to Committees.
• Attend Committees/ Board in conjunction with the Financial Controller.
• Assist with the preparation of VAT Returns.
• Support with preparation of annual budgets and long-term forecasts.
• Support with the annual accounts and audit deliverables documentation and assist with the Audit process.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in a similar role. You will possess excellent practical knowledge of SAGE 50 and Excel. You will be confident in your transactional accounting experience with the ability to organise your time effectively and prioritise workload efficiently. You will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to establish relationships at ease.
