Accounts Manager

A growing firm of chartered accountants based in Horsham is searching for an Accounts Manager to join their team with excellent career development prospects on offer and opportunity to carve an influential role within this highly successful and forward moving practice.

This firm is a well-established and respected entity within the professional services industry, boasting a sizeable team of dedicated professionals. Located in their Horsham offices, it prides itself on its strong commitment to providing a first-class services to its clients.

They work with a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies up into the £millions of turnover, with additional larger clients up to and in excess of the audit threshold. The business also offers a range of professional services, across wealth management, legal services and other fields, developing strong, long term and value added client relationships.

Description

Duties include:

• Managing a team of accountants
• Assigning accounting tasks to the team
• Provide support and training to the team
• Provide support and advice to clients
• Use of accounting software
• Setting monthly targets, based upon work in and deadlines due
• Resolving client queries where possible
• Production of Company, Sole Trader and Partnership Accounts
• Completion of Self-Assessment Tax Returns and Corporation Tax Returns
• Completion and submission of Quarterly VAT Return

Profile

• ACCA, ACA, equivalent qualifications or QBE
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice at a management level, or as an assistant manager
• Be a good communicator and able to work as part of a team
• Be able to work on own initiative
• Confident in all areas of accountancy and taxation
• Able to work to tight deadlines
• Knowledge of accountancy software
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of Sage/Xero

Job Offer

Salary circa £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience and qualification status.
