My client, a highly reputable company in the Financial Services industry are looking for an individual with previous Accounts Payable experience to come and join their skilful and very busy team!
The Accounts Payable Administrator position is part of their dynamic Group Finance & Internal Audit department. This role involves efficiently handling business expenses and supplier invoices in adherence to established procedures. I am therefore in search of a motivated and practical individual with aspirations to build a career in Finance within a fast-paced setting.
Duties include
- Efficiently process purchase ledger invoices and employee expenses in accordance with internal policies
- Reconcile supplier statements, address invoice queries, and escalate issues to senior management when necessary
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations for multiple accounts in various currencies
- Proactively review aged creditor reports and resolve AP ledger transactions promptly
- Administer the business expense system and manage the shared Finance mailbox
Must haves
- Proven track record in handling high work volumes within a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in a finance transactional role, preferably in Accounts Payable, showcasing strong numerical literacy and a keen interest in pursuing a finance career
- Proficient in Excel with strong skills in VLookups; experience with VLookup's is advantageous
- Qualification in a finance-related subject is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with SAP Concur Expense, SAP Concur Invoice, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus but not required
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Highly organised with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Assertive communication style, adaptable to interactions with colleagues, suppliers, and other contacts
- Self-motivated with a proactive problem-solving attitude and the ability to exercise initiative and common sense
- Demonstrated ability to multitask with consistency and accuracy
