About the team
Our Accounting and Outsourcing team works to support our clients to better run their finance functions, understand their financial position and performance, and to ensure they are compliant with changing accounting and tax legislation. The financial services team work with a broad range of clients across various sectors which will enable you to build your knowledge and understanding of the financial services market. Our main areas of focus are insurance and asset management, with clients in banking too.
About the role
- In this newly created role you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing and payment of invoices for our clients in line with agreed policies
- You'll review and post purchase invoices, sales invoices and credit notes in line with relevant VAT rules and client policies
- Draft payment runs to share with clients, and the subsequent set up of payments
- Regularly review supplier ledgers to ensure quality of data, including requesting and performing supplier statement reconciliations
What are we looking for?
- Working experience of Accounts Payable
- Knowledge of accounting including double entry bookkeeping, assets and liabilities, accruals, prepayments, and accounting controls
- Experience of posting invoices in line with VAT rules
- Knowledge of accounting systems such as; Xero, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage and data capture apps
- Strong IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel
