Temp Accounts Payable Assistant
• Location: Ayrshire/Hybrid• Job Type: Full-time, 6 Month Temp• Hourly Rate: GBP13-14 per hour
Join our clients award-winning business as an Accounts Payable Assistant and become a vital part of their finance team. You will be supporting the EMEAI territories for our client, a top-performing NASDAQ listed company. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and can work to tight deadlines.
Day to day of the role:
• Process purchase invoices in the accounting system (Sage 200)• Ensure 3-way matching electronically of purchase orders, goods receipt notes, and purchase invoices• Maintain accuracy of PO/Invoice coding/matching/authorisation• Validate outstanding POs/invoice queries• Conduct supplier statement reconciliations• Resolve invoice variances/queries with suppliers and operations proactively• Code non-PO invoices and ensure all invoices are duly authorised• Perform regular housekeeping checks to ensure ledgers are tidy• Deal with auditor requests and work to meet deadlines in accordance with month-end closedown timetable• Handle ad hoc duties, answer telephone calls, redirect calls, take messages, and assist visitors by ensuring they follow correct sign-in procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger role is advantageous• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines• Proficiency in Microsoft packages• Knowledge of SAGE systems is beneficial, though training will be provided
