Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable Assistant looking for a new role within an established company?
BMC Recruitment Group are delighted to be working alongside an established and stable business in the Newcastle upon Tyne who are looking to recruit for an Accounts Payable Assistant on a full time, permanent contract.
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be a key member of the finance team and ensure that all payable invoices are correctly checked, matched and paid in a timely manner to suppliers and clients.
The role is office based 5 days a week.
Working times: 08:00am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
08:00am - 1:00pm Friday
Job Duties include:
* Inputting invoice, matching and batching invoices to Purchase Orders on system;
* Distribute queried invoices, invoices requiring direct authorisation/ checking to appropriate departments/ department heads
* Transfer matched invoices to ledger accurately
* Own chasing of outstanding queries to ensure prompt action by departments/ department heads
* Ensure reconciliation of supplier statements
