I am currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join a Global Pharmaceutical Company in London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team and continue your development in an AP focused role.
Reporting to the Account Payable Supervisor this is a varied and exciting position, providing a good opportunity to gain a wider understanding of financial processes. The role of the Accounts Payable Assistant is to ensure business documents are processed within the month end timetable to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Liaising with stakeholders both internally and externally for authorisation of invoices and query resolution.
- Processing stock supplier invoices
- Processing foreign currency invoices
- Requesting/Follow up of PO, PR and manual approvals for invoices from manufacturing/operational teams
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and account allocations
- AP email management along with appropriate filing of received documents within electronic filing structure
- Ensure that all Accounts Payable processes are completed following the monthly accounting timetable
- Preparing /Updating of procedure notes as required
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a team environment but having the initiative to work alone
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities, 'can do' attitude
- Good attention to detail, delivering high quality output, to deadline in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Strong Microsoft Excel (knowledge of V-Lookup & Pivots) and PC literacy skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
Desired but not essential
- Exposure to stock accounting method including GRNI processes.
- Knowledge of UK and overseas VAT
- Sage X3
- Web Expenses system
