Accounts Payable Assistant | Permanent | £27.5k-£30k | Hybrid working | Membership Organisation
Altum are recruiting for a proactive and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to join a global membership body. This would be a busy role in the finance team ensuring accurate posting across the Accounts Payable function and supporting the wider team at the organisation. The role will operate on a hybrid function with 2 days in their Central London office.
Responsibilities will include;
- Process payment requests ensuring correct authorisation
- Manage international currency payments recording the payment log
- Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding when posting them
- Run BACS payments and process all bank payment transactions including direct debits
- Reconcile expenditure across the organisation to ensure accuracy across the system
- Prepare journals when posting onto the system working closely with the Management Accountant
- Issue petty cash to relevant staff ensuring appropriate authorisation
- Bank reconciliations
The ideal candidate will;
- Have experience of working in an Accounts Payable function
- Be a proactive and motivated team player
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ambitious and willing to learn new skills
