Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant Part time
Hours:17.5 hours per week Monday to Friday ideally 10am to 1.30pm
Salary: £25000 to £27500 pro rata
Reports to: Accounts Payable & School Fees Manager
Location: Head Office, Cobham on site (parking is available; driving is desirable due to location being hard to reach via public transport)

A Surrey-based educational institution is seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Assistant to join their dynamic team.
As Accounts Payable Assistant, the main purpose of your role will be:
- Accurately process supplier invoices and credit notes to facilitate timely payments within specified terms.
- Monitor and manage purchase orders, ensuring adherence to policy for timely goods receipt.
- Conduct weekly payment runs.
Accounts payable Assistant role responsibilities will include:
- Timely processing of Accounts Payable transactions to maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers.
- Address queries from suppliers and colleagues via phone, email, or in-person, adopting a helpful and proactive approach.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policy by overseeing the proper raising of purchase orders and goods receipt procedures by the purchasing departments.
- Match and process invoices on the purchase ledger.
- Administer the weekly payment run, obtaining authorisation for both GBP and foreign payments when necessary.
- Reconcile supplier statements and verify new suppliers.
- Accounts payable skills and experience will include:
- Outstanding customer service and cultural awareness abilities
- A high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Competent and experienced with spreadsheets.
- Prior experience with P2P & CRM systems is an advantage.
