Accounts Payable Assistant

My client, a fast growing and vibrant media company in Central London are recruiting a pro-active and flexible Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Finance department on a permanent contract. Study support and hybrid working are both available.

This role requires a confident individual who is highly organised and able to use their initiative to deal with different situations and ability to work independently. You will be reporting to the AP Manager and will interact closely with various departments across the company.

Key Duties

• Take responsibility for reviewing the end-to-end AP process in terms of ensuring invoices are being sent to the correct inboxes, that PO numbers are used, that queries are being answered in a timely manner
• Manage emergency payments process
• Create new vendors in system and ensure supplier set up is correct.

• Statement reconciliations

• Assist the team with cash actuals reporting to feed into forecasting

• Manage the corporate credit card process: match transactions to receipts, prepare monthly and YTD reconciliation for review, and post journals to recognise these transactions

• Weekly cashflow in reporting payables balances across all accounts

• Manage the Expense process and prepare the monthly direct expenses summary for review

Requirements

• Strong excel skills
• Commercial mind-set
