Accounts Payable Assistant

Are you currently studying your ATT or in the early stages of your accounting career and looking for an excellent opportunity where you are able to gain quality experience working for a leading organisation based in Central London and will be office based 5 days a week.

Our client are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract, are you enthusiastic, ambitious and eager to learn? If so this would be a fantastic opportunity for you.

Duties:

• Process and record receipt of invoices and upload them onto Sage
• Retrieve invoices and statements from supplier websites where necessary
• Update monthly costs spreadsheet
• Reconcile invoices with statements and check for any errors
• Create monthly reports of supplier payments and send off for authorisation of payment
• Send remittance advise to suppliers with confirmation of payment
• Liaise with suppliers and deal with any queries accordingly
• Scan all invoices on a monthly basis and get them signed off
• Data entry for reports and quotations
• Monitor office supplies and re-order accordingly

Skills:

• Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Strong organisation and communication skills with the ability to problem solve
• AT least 6 months experience in an accounting role or currently studying your AAT
