Accounts Payable Assistant

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join an Accounts Payable team to primarily take responsibility for the AP process for the company's overseas entities.

This role sits within an AP team of 3 within a wider finance team of 30, offering excellent opportunities for progression.

The company has 75 years of experience successfully supporting the sustainable, long-term growth of businesses in Africa and Asia, and have recently expanded to invest in the Indo-Pacific and Caribbean.

We are looking for someone with proven AP experience and excellent communication skills who can work in a fast-paced environment. The company utilises a diverse platforms of accounting systems so a good aptitude for picking up new software systems is essential. The role works within a friendly, busy, and professional team where and would be well suited to an outgoing and communicative individual with a strong desire to progress.

• Salary : £38K
• Location : within walking distance of London Victoria station
• Hybrid working: 2 days per week with the team in the office with a further day each month where the whole company is office based.

Skills and experience required:

Proven experience in Accounts Payable

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable principles and procedures
• AAT qualified as a minimum
• Multi-Currency and multi-business unit exposure
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately process large volumes of queries
• Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong working knowledge of debits, credits, and general book-keeping
• WHT knowledge
