 Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team and manage our Accounts Payable ledger for all UK properties. You will be responsible for processing and coding invoices, researching vendor payments and queries, inputting cash disbursements and receipts, preparing bank reconciliations, coding travel and entertainment expense reports, remitting VAT tax, and supporting various ad-hoc requests from management. You will also be the point person for UK property managers and director of properties as it relates to construction and A/P.

Responsibilities:

Management of A/P ledger, including direct processing & coding re operations and construction related invoices for all UK properties This includes a high volume of weekly wire payments
- Researching of vendor payments and queries as necessary
- Input of cash disbursements and receipts & into our accounting software for various properties
- Pivotal part of the month end close process
- Continual review of procedures in order to streamline payments, utilize vendor discount initiatives, reporting to managers, etc
- Coding of travel & entertainment expense reports from property management
- VAT tax coding/remittances
- Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile intercompany balances
- Point person for UK property managers & director of properties as it relates to construction and A/P
- Various ad-hoc requests from management (special projects, presentations, document updating, etc)
- Support schedules to help during Financial statement prep of subsidiaries/related entities
- Occasional visits to UK properties to further develop & improve relationships with property managers, construction and operations vendors

The client is offering a salary between £40,000 - £50,000 and a fantastic benefits package.
