Based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, our successful start-up client are looking for an ambitious individual to join them as Accounts Payable Clerk on a permanent basis. They offer 1 remote working day per week.
This job would suit a someone with some experience working within administrative processes within the Accounts department. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role supporting the busy finance team, responsible for updating and ensuring the accuracy of data input into the finance system.
This company is a global freight business who is backed by a serial successful entrepreneur who already has successful businesses in very similar industries. They have grown to circa 100 employees worldwide and are now looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join them on this journey. You will report to the AP Supervisor and there would be real opportunity to develop your career quickly.
The successful individual will have proven experience of inputting data accurately into a Finance system, ideally with Microsoft 365 Dynamics. Excellent attention to detail is crucial for this role, to ensure data is inputted correctly and accurately. This person will need excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, and can keep up to date with new software and computer processes. Excellent communication skills are also essential.
Job responsibilities:
- Entering data into Dynamics 365 system accurately.
- Accurately matching purchase invoices where appropriate to the suppliers delivery notes and Confirming prices, discounts, and quantities received, with purchase orders, either via the computer system or manually.
- Circulating invoices to the appropriate Manager or Director for approval, and controlling the issue and receipt and subsequent posting to the Ledger.
- Posting all approved invoices and credits to the Purchase Ledger accurately and on time
- Responsible for administration of financial records, including filing and maintaining records appropriately.
- Undertaking other or reasonable duties, as directed by the Accounts Payable Coordinator.
