A Japanese company specialising in providing telecoms solutions to businesses throughout the UK is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk.
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, maintaining a high level of accuracy is required to ensure the prompt and accurate data entry of various financial information and transactions into the accounting system. Business level English is required and knowledge of Japanese is highly beneficial. Business trips to Belgium will be required.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week
SALARY: up to £30K depending on experience, plus good benefits, including the payment of all travel expenses during commute

LOCATION: Central London (currently hybrid working)
Accounts Payable Clerk RESPONSIBILITY:
• Management of Network Costs
• Updating cost and payment record in the database (currently using Filemaker) and raising payment slips
• Preparation of journal import files for company's direct cost invoices
• Supplier statement reconciliations, including contacting suppliers for any missing invoices
• Liaising with network suppliers and internal parties to resolve outstanding disputes
• Reporting related to network cost upon request
• Support AP Team leader for network cost analysis
• Setting up monthly payments
• Management and maintenance of supplier bank details
• Dealing with supplier queries mainly for Network Suppliers
• Business support for Belgium office, including preparation and renewal of network contracts
Accounts Payable Clerk IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
• Proficiency in Microsoft software is essential
• Experience in using accounting software (preferably SUN) is beneficial
• Business level English is essential
• Written and verbal Japanese is preferable
• High level of business manners and flexibility
• Solid administration background & the abillity to check for accuracy and completeness
• Need to be able to travel to Belgium when requested by the line manager
