Accounts Payable Officer

We're really excited to be working with a growing media company, looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team. Although we are searching for someone to join the department on a temporary basis, the hybrid role has the potential to become permanent. Working in this dynamic London-based team, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Preparing payment runs and processing purchase invoices
• Managing the AP inbox and all related queries
• Maintaining and monitoring the full creditors ledger, including creditors reconciliations
• Posting purchase ledger entries into the accounting system (e.g. invoices, payments & allocations)
• Supporting VAT processing, including assisting with preparation of quarterly VAT return
• Assisting with wider month end closing
• Training operational teams on PO raising, SAP coding
• Generate mid & month-end payment run as per agreed schedule
• Assisting with other ad-hoc financial tasks, as required

The Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable experience (transactional financial experience in Media is strongly preferred)
• Studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar
• Experience with SAP is preferred
• Intermediate Excel or higher (nested functions, pivot tables)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to coherently interact with non-finance personnel
• Enthusiastic, Proactive and Analytical
