As an Admin Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the organisation. You will be based in our office located in South West England, specifically in Bristol.
Job Duties:- Perform general clerical duties, including but not limited to photocopying, scanning, mailing, and filing documents.
- Manage and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical, ensuring documents are organised and easily accessible.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and presentations.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff.
- Support the smooth running of office operations by ordering and maintaining office supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Assist in the coordination of office events and meetings, including arranging logistics and preparing necessary materials.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Provide administrative support to various departments as required.
- Proven work experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:- Proficiency in using office equipment such as printers, scanners, and photocopiers.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and experience with financial record keeping.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise tasks.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with office software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external parties.
This is a contract position, and the expected working hours are full-time. The role will be based in an office environment in South West England, Bristol, Bristol.
