About the Role
As an Admin Assistant at Northwood Nursing Home, you will play a crucial role in supporting our care team and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering Phone Calls: You’ll handle incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate staff members and providing helpful information to callers.
- File Management: Organizing and maintaining resident files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Supporting Managers: Assisting managers with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, record-keeping, and data entry.
- Welcoming Visitors: Greeting visitors warmly, making them feel comfortable, and providing necessary information about the home.
- Resident Engagement: Interacting with residents, showing empathy, and addressing their needs with kindness and patience.
- Guided Tours: Conducting tours for prospective clients and their families, showcasing the unique features of Northwood Nursing Home.
- Creating a Positive Environment: Going above and beyond to contribute to a vibrant and happy atmosphere within the home.
- Complex Needs Environment: Comfortable working in an environment where residents have complex needs, including challenging behaviors. You’ll demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a compassionate approach.
