The Role
Exciting opportunities have arisen at Woodland Hospital as we continue to expand with Glendon Wood Hospital our brand new day case facility based in the Glendon area of Kettering.
We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals with excellent interpersonal and customer services skills. You will be joining our successful NHS Admissions Team. The successful applicants will take pride in ensuring all our patients receive a first class experience. Other aspects of the role are; working with different stakeholders within the business such as; Consultants/ Medical Secretaries and the Senior Leadership team. You will need to have the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload whilst working under pressure, be target driven and have a proven track record of achieving results.
The working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09.00-17.00.
High-level duties include:
Booking Inpatient procedures
Consultant waiting Lists and RTT
Liaising with secretaries & consultants
Supporting patients with their enquiries
Communication via phones and emails
Internal Funding Requests (IFR)
What you’ll bring with you
Proven track record of achieving targets whilst maintaining an outstanding level of customer service
The ability to work under pressure whilst remaining patient/ consumer focused
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills to include Excel and Word
Experience working in a private healthcare setting is preferred

About Us
The Woodland hospital in Kettering has four theatres operating 6 days a week, covering a diverse range of elective services including Orthopaedic, Spinal, Pain, General surgery, Weight loss Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, ENT and Ophthalmology. We have a 23 bedded inpatient ward and 19 Day case Rooms /Bays. We also have a pharmacy and physiotherapy unit and radiology services at the hospital.
Glendon Wood Hospital works closely with Woodland Hospital with clinical staff moving across both sites as well as some non-clinical staff moving between the two sites in support of the clinical activities. Glendon Wood Hospital has 2 laminar flow theatres and a designated endoscopy suite as well as outpatients, physiotherapy and a full imaging suite including CT, MRI and mammography.
