Location: South Kensington Campus - Hybrid Job Summary The Brahmal Vasudevan Institute for Sustainable Aviation welcomes applications for the post of Administrative Coordinator to lead on administrative and communications tasks across the Institute’s portfolio. The Institute is an exciting collaborative research initiative that will harness expertise as it leads in breakthroughs towards achieving the transition to net zero aviation. The Administrative Coordinator is a key role in enabling the meeting of these goals. Duties and responsibilities You will be responsible for logistics for the Institute’s schedule of seminars and meetings, workshops and other events. You will manage the Institute’s digital presence, and multimedia content creation for dissemination across a wide range of communications channels which will include the translation of complex scientific information to a range of audiences. You will provide day-today administrative and financial support for Institute activities, including the newly-established Doctoral Network in Sustainable Aviation. This will include running regular financial reports to ensure the Director is always up-to-date on the annual financial progress, diary support particularly in relation to meeting scheduling as assisting with the arrangements for visitors and new staff. Essential requirements Essential requirements for the role include: Administrative experience including high-level support to senior staff Experience of procurement/purchasing systems Experience in developing and maintaining websites Experience of web-based communication and social media tools. Experience of planning and managing a variety of events. Ability to produce accurate financial reports. Excellent IT skills including MS Office As a busy and varied role, you will be proactive with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads. You must also be able and willing to undertake a wide variety of work, so flexibility and creativity are desirable. The ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision is essential.
