Job summary
To provide financial administration to assist in the efficient and effective operation of Payroll in the Finance Department.
Job seniority: associate level
Responsibilities
• Administer the Colleges in-house payroll system• Ensure that the risk of fraud and corruption in this area is minimised and payments are made only in accordance with the contracts of employment• Ensure salaries and wages are correctly recorded and records maintained securely and confidentially for the requisite time• Ensure deductions are made accurately, authorised and paid to third parties on a timely basis and all amendments to standing data are authorised and carried out accurately• Process arrears in accordance with circulars
Requirements
• Have at least a Level 5 qualification in any area• Have at least two years experience working within a Payroll function• Have previous experience with Microsoft Office applications
Key Skills Needed
• Level 5 qualification• Payroll experience• Microsoft Office• Experience in Further Education/Public Sector (desirable)
