Spire London East Hospital are expanding the scope of services we offer our patients and as such we’re looking for a part time Administrator to join our friendly team. The role will involve the provision of an efficient medico-legal administration service within the hospital, operating within the established policies and procedures of the imaging department. Patients under this umbrella term will be referred to London East via solicitors who liaise with various medico-legal companies which in turn cover accident claims.
This position is a part time and permanent position working 20 hours per week, Mon-Fri between 9am - 1pm and 10am - 2pm
You will ensure an exemplary level of high customer service to all patients, consultants and hospital teams, that meets and strives to exceed all our customer’s expectations ensuring total confidentiality in every aspect of work at all times.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Processing of all medico-legal referrals and enquiries daily, by printing referrals and booking appropriate appointments.
- Ensuring that patients and referrers are kept aware of all appointment information.
- Ensuring all referrals are scanned to RIS (an imaging CRM portal with training to be provided), with copies sent to radiologists and filed appropriately.
- Updating the medico-legal appointment tracker with appointment and postal information.
- Preparing quotations to be sent to solicitors or referrers.
- Printing all consent forms ready for medico-legal appointments.
- Maintaining confidentiality of all information acquitted with regards to patients, consultants and staff and not to disclose information about the affairs of the hospital, its subsidiaries or associates.
- Presenting a professional, smart image at all times, ensuring adherence to the hospital uniform policy.
- Undertaking any other tasks that reasonably fall within the general nature and level of responsibility for this post.
Who we're looking for:
- Experience in working within an administration environment
- Basic knowledge of hospital systems (or similar), including processes and procedures
- High degree of accuracy and a methodical approach to workload
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Computer literate with good keyboard skills
- Good customer care skills with the ability to handle difficult situations
