We have an exciting opportunity for some caring, compassionate and talented Advanced Support Workers, to work within a new service in Peterhead. You will be supporting 1 individual with complex needs, to promote choice, independence and wellbeing. As an Advanced support worker we need you to be experienced at working with adults with a learning disability and complex needs, flexible, reliable, motivated, adaptive to different support styles and passionate about supporting individuals to lead their best life possible. Some of the activities the individual enjoys is listening to music, venturing into the town to check out the charity shops, watching YouTube, playing cards and having a laugh. Example of shift pattern - 3.30pm till 11pm plus sleepover, 7am-8.30am week days and over the weekends 7.30-3pm, 3pm to 11pm plus sleepover

Benefits

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health. If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care. You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues. We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System. During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
