Student Hub Reception duties, answering routine telephone and pupil face-to-face enquiries, taking messages and forwarding them onto the relevant person. Providing general administrative support to the Student Support Team including inputting data into the Management Information System.
KEY TASKS – Administration & ICT:
- To undertake word processing and other ICT related tasks including student bulletins, detention reminders, letters, reports, data entry and schedules
- Collation of registers and the completion of various returns as required by the council and the Department for Education
- To organise communication with students, e.g. via Registration boxes, and to their parents/carers, including using ParentMail.
- Co-ordinate the distribution of uniform cards each week.
KEY TASKS – Finance:
· To undertake financial tasks relating to the dedicated administration support and to general administration duties, following the School’s financial procedures and in liaison with the School’s Finance team
· To operate uniform/snack or other school ‘shops’ within school, as required;
KEY TASKS – Reception & Customer Service:

· Escorting pupils around school as required
· Make arrangements for external visitors, for example, the school nurse, photographers, linked schools and parents/carers
KEY TASKS – General Clerical:
· To provide routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, emailing, completing routine forms
· Sorting and distributing of internal and external mail
· To maintain manual and computerised filing systems, and ensure data can be efficiently retrieved when required
KEY TASKS – Welfare:
11. To undertake pupil welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff in accordance with school procedures

· To uphold and promote the values and the ethos of the school

· To take a pro-active approach to health and safety, working with others in the school to minimise and mitigate potential hazards and risks, and actively contribute to the security of the school, e.g. challenging a stranger on the premises
· To participate and engage with workplace learning and development opportunities, subject to the school’s training plan, working to continually improve own performance and that of the team/school
· To attend and participate in relevant meetings as appropriate
· To undertake a lunchtime duty
· To undertake any other additional duties commensurate with the grade of the post
