I am currently recruiting for an Assessment Report Officer on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Wakefield (WF6).
You will be working in an administrative/office environment undertaking a variety of tasks. You will provide a comprehensive range of administrative duties to support the Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review Team (SENART).
Duties of the Assessment Report Officer will include:
- Provide a comprehensive range of administrative duties to support the Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review Team (SENART)
- Organising and minuting meetings
- Arranging meetings as part of the statutory process with a wide range of professionals and parents, ensuring best use of time/resources
- Creating new electronic learner files on the CEMS and Civica databases including scanning and indexing legal documents and professional reports and entering and ensuring personal details are accurate
- Updating electronic learner records with documents as required
- Receiving and recording returns of reports from multi-agency professionals following the production of reports towards statutory assessments and the review of statements of special educational needs/Education, Health and Care Plans
- Processing Annual Review Paperwork from schools to complete summary reports for SEN/Casework officers
- Signposting callers as appropriate to alternative suitable services
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Working in an administrative/office environment undertaking a variety of tasks
- In-depth knowledge of SEN legislation and provision
- Organising and minuting meetings
- Experience of working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Extensive experience of telephone contact with members of the public and appropriate agencies to offer initial advice and guidance
- Experience of maintaining confidential records.
- Extensive experience of using databases and Document Management Systems (DMS) to ensure effective record keeping and production of documentation
- Extensive experience in the use of software packages including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and adobe to produce documents, letters and report
- An ability to empathise with the needs of others, such as parents/carers telephoning into the SENART
This post is full time 37 hours per week Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, with a pay rate of £12.18 per hour PAYE or £13.61 via Umbrella.
