Form of workInfrastructure business based in the Atherton area of Manchester requires an Assistant Accountant as a result of growth. Reporting to the FC this role is designed to work closely the whole finance department.
Duties of the role will include;
- Help produce management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, including variance analysis and commentaries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Posting of journals (accruals prepayments, payroll)
- Issue intercompany recharge invoices
- Review posting of purchase invoices to ensure correct nominal coding
- Produce regular aged receivables and aged payables
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Support the completion of finance related projects and process improvements
- Produce reports and data analysis as required by the business
- Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
- Work closely with the Financial Controller on the year end statutory accounts, audit and tax queries
- Review accounting processes and practices to improve the efficiency of the finance function
- Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
- Assisting the Financial Controller and Senior Management Accountant on ad-hoc analysis
