NOW RECRUITING: Assistant Accountant to join our expanding, highly successful Finance department.
We are looking for a driven and analytical individual to work closely with the finance manager to provide a high level of technical support to the finance team.
SALARY: £35k annually
LOCATION: SWANSEA MARINA HEAD OFFICE
MONDAY TO FRIDAY 09:00 - 17:30

Responsibilities
- Support the finance manager and the wider team with the month-end close.
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and are in good order.
- Prepare and post month-end journals.
- Assist in the preparation of sales invoices and reconciliation of receipts.
- Prepare VAT and CIS returns.
- Oversee the Self-bill process for subcontractor payments.
- Develop and maintain proactive working relationships with department heads.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory year-end accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
- General administration tasks.
What are we looking for?
- AAT level 4 qualified and studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
- An ambitious team player.
- Being proficient in using Xero would be beneficial.
- Experience in administering CIS.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and month-end close.
