Hays Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be partnering with a niche business near Fakenham who are looking to strengthen their finance team and require an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to take responsibility for the ledgers and payroll as well as supporting the Financial Controller at month & year-end.
Your new role
Due to internal promotion, this business based near Fakenham are looking for an Accounts Clerk / Bookkeeper to take responsibility of processing all aspects of their purchase ledger from inputting invoices onto Sage 200, obtaining a PO & approval for payment through to reconciling supplier statements and dealing with supplier queries.
You will also be responsible for your own part of the payroll, which will involve checking timesheets and processing the weekly payroll for approximately 20+ staff and deducting the relevant HMRC deductions. As part of the wider finance team, you will post all cash to the ledgers, reconcile bank statements, process credit card payments and report to the Head of Finance.
What you will need to succeed
Ideally, you will be an AAT student with experience of ledger processing and able to reconcile bank accounts to check cash postings. Any experience of Sage 200 would be an advantage and, due to its location on the outskirts of Fakenham, you will need to have your own transport.
What you will get in return
The organisation offer a salary of circa £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience, 20 days\' holiday plus Bank Holidays, pension, parking on-site, 8am - 4.30pm and a quarterly bonus.
