Assistant Accountant

As Assistant Accountant you will support across transactional finance and month end plus support broader operational projects within this growing investment company including;

• Lead on all aspects of accounts payable and receivable and employee expenses
• Support the month end close process including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support reporting to the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority)
• Support the year end external audit process with Saffery (auditors)
• Support payroll with the external accountants
• Support cash flow forecasting activities
• Support companies in the investment portfolio with ad hoc accounting and finance duties
• Assisting the Chief Operating Officer across the operational aspects of the business
• Communications with and monitoring of portfolio companies
• Drafting both internal and external reporting memos on the activities of the portfolio companies
• Working with team members across operational aspects including supporting offshore entities with their compliance reporting

This role would be ideal for an accounting professional at an early stage in their career and looking to continue their accounting studies for AAT/ACCA/CIMA. This role can develop and grow and over time as more of finance will be brought in house from the external accountants.

This is also a great opportunity to get exposure to the whole business and operations including their investee companies.

This role is 5 days per week office based.
