Salary: £25,000-£28,000 + Benefits

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm

My client who are a within the Consumer Lending industry, based in Woking are seeking a Assistant Accountant to join their team. To apply for this role you will need to be AAT qualified and have previous experience within a similar role.

Daily Duties

Managing the Purchase Ledger; posting invoices, responding to queries, reconciling supplier accounts and processing supplier payments.

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.

Preparation of the daily Cash Flow forecast.

Preparation of the monthly Management Accounts.

Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.

Assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Information.

Report production for HMRC, FCA, auditors, banks and other stakeholders etc.

Assist and support with internal and external audits in relation to the firms financial activities.

Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects.

Essential Skills:

Good oral and written communication skills

Proven experience in Financial Services.

Good numerical skills and the ability to problem solve and be a logical thinker.

GCSE/ NVQ level including English and Maths or equivalent qualification.

Proficient in the use of office systems particularly Advanced Excel.

Willing to learn and develop in the role itself and through additional accounting training.

AAT qualified, or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role
