Assistant Accountant

Berry Recruitment is collaborating with one of our well known clients to find an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with the office located in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

Key details:

Role: Assistant Accountant

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum

Working Pattern: Hybrid

The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:

• Preparation and processing of weekly/monthly payroll.
• Supporting in month-end, year-end, and Management Accounts processes.
• Preparation of VAT returns and reconciliation of financial transactions.
• Working closely with the management to achieve financial targets.

The ideal Assistant Accountant will possess:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Proficient in using Xero system.
• Capability to work under pressure with good attention to detail.
• Ability to use your own initiative and think outside of the box.
