Grade: Grade 3 £13,708 - £14,409 per annum

We have some exciting positions available for Assistant Active Lifestyles Support Officers who will be responsible for supporting the Active Lifestyles service delivery including the day-to-day handling and dealing of all allocated referrals, across all programmes as required. This will include delivering gym inductions, writing tailored exercise programmes, delivering supervised gym sessions, data inputting, contacting referred clients, dealing with health-related queries and signposting where necessary.
The role/s will involve delivery city-wide (area/s covered to be agreed with successful candidates, with Civic Centre, Head Office as office location. The Assistant Active Lifestyles Support Officers will form an integral part of the Active Lifestyles Team, supporting individuals to increase their physical activity levels and improve continued positive health and wellbeing and reduce the risk of long-term health conditions.
The Assistant Active Lifestyles Support Officer will be expected to be enthusiastic, with an interest in physical activity, and understanding of the health-related benefits that exercise can have to those being referred to the programme. They will be a dynamic member of the Active Lifestyles Team and be willing to contribute to the development and expansion of the service whilst maintaining a high-quality service which follows best practice. They will also act as a champion of the health and wellbeing agenda for colleagues across wider leisure services, providing key information and messages as appropriate, and also consistently demonstrate SCL’s behaviours.
