Our Design Team deliver stand-out, affordable fashion with the unique style and touches that underpin the River Island handwriting. As an Assistant Designer you’ll provide research-led insight into key trends to influence the Design direction for your category, and support the Design team as needed. You’ll also start to contribute your own designs, balancing creativity and commerciality to develop designs that meet the brief and deliver the commercials.
What We Are Looking For...
We are looking for an Assistant Designer to join us on our Kidswear Footwear & Non Clothing team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contribute effectively to Design development discussions through research, broad market and trend awareness and creation of key mood, trend and fabric boards
- Assist with Product design, including creating detailed design specification packs
- Produce CAD work on Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Qualifications or studies relevant to Design
- Relevant work experience in a Design environment
- The position is on Non Clothing but this experience is not essential
- Must be able to provide a portfolio of Design work
- Intermediate Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills are essential
- Good Product Development skills
- Strong organisation skills
