Assistant Finance Analyst

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and rapidly growing Education/Care Group to recruit a dynamic and driven Assistant Finance Business Partner. Based in their Gloucester Head Office, with mainly remote working and a few office days per month required. This is a progressive and interesting permanent finance role joining the Finance Business Partnering Team working closely with the Financial Controller and Senior Finance Business Partners to ensure that the financial position and forecasting of several services within the group are accurately reported. The role is most suited to an AAT qualified finance professional actively studying CIMA/ACCA but will also consider an AAT studier with relevant experience.
Your new role
Your key duties will involve assisting and providing financial position and forecasting support of several services within the Group and making sure reporting is accurate. You will be involved in preparing month-end management accounts with meaningful commentary and analysis, assisting the finance business partners with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly re-forecasts. You will help embed financial controls and processes on site, and provide insightful analysis, performance monitoring and financial modelling assistance. You will provide various financial reports to enable appropriate decision making. The position will grow as you develop in the group and your role.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the progressive Assistant Finance Business Partner role you will need some experience within a similar position, ideally AAT qualified studying towards CIMA/ACCA, however qualified by experience will be considered. Experience of preparing management accounts and reports, with strong IT skills including MS excel and a high degree of accuracy to detail. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-finance managers, along with confidence to work with senior management across the Group. Experience within the Education sector would be advantageous but not essential.
