Job Description
As Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will be collaborating closely with account managers, the commercial finance team, and various departments, you'll drive our business strategy forward, maximising value for clients while minimising risk exposure.
Your role will involve providing real-time support and analysis, serving as a trusted advisor to aid decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a professional and proactive business relationship with all levels of client’s representatives; promoting the Company and development of services and understanding the changing needs of the customer
- Build partnerships and strong relationships with all managers, key stakeholders and their teams providing financial support and input to commercial decision making
- Provide effective commercial procedures, or initiate change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered
- Ensure timely and accurate forecasting of financial performance including month end and support with the budget planning process
- Escalate key risks and opportunities across accounts and ensure action to mitigate and maximise respectively
- Alongside the Senior & Finance Business Partners act as a link between operations and finance to drive a customer service culture
- Support in developing and executing actions to improve financial performance
- Working closely with other business units in order to ensure alignment of the divisions and an overview of the whole portfolio
- Support central Finance with the billing process and cash collection as well as all balance sheets for the portfolio
- Ensure that processes are consistently followed and challenged to maintain financial control
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Part qualified/studying towards a professional qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent by experience
- Prior client facing experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Professional, committed, conscientious, pro-active and innovative
- Positive attitude to change and ability to be flexible to the changing priorities of the role
- Strong communicator able to communicate with clients, operations, suppliers and team
- Numerate, accurate and confident with working on your own initiative
- Ability to prioritise workloads appropriately.
