Form of workRobert Half are working in partnership with a renowned, continuously growing organisation in Chippenham to recruit a newly created Assistant Finance Manager role to join their finance function. This is an autonomous, challenging role that will be heavily involved in process improvement, supporting with management and financial accounting activities and overseeing a small team. This role will be suitable for an AAT/CIMA/ACCA studier or someone that is qualified by experience that is looking for a step up and gain exposure to team management. This is a full-time permanent position offering a salary between £30,000 - £35,000 plus study support, hybrid working and other excellent benefits.
The Role
The main duties of the Assistant Finance Manager role will consist of:
- Managing a team of x2; supervising day to day activities, conducting performance reviews/appraisals and providing training/development when required.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Journal postings.
- Supporting the wider finance team with management and financial accounting duties.
- Improving processes and procedures where necessary.
- Supporting with billing and recharge process.
Requirements
To be considered for the Assistant Finance Manager role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:
- Must have some experience in supporting month-end preparation; i.e reconciliations, journals and accruals.
- AAT/CIMA/ACCA studier or qualified by experience.
- Experience of supervising/leading a small team would be advantageous.
- Highly organised.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Innovative mindset.
- Confident user of Excel.
