This an exciting role that will be exposed to preparing the monthly management accounts, financial analysis and will collaborate/business partner with various stakeholders across the business. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone that is looking for further exposure to management accounting whilst studying towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA and be a part of a forward-thinking business that is renowned for investing in their employees and encouraging career development. This is a full-time permanent position offering a salary between £28,000 - £35,000 plus study support, hybrid working and other excellent benefits.
The Role
The main duties of the Assistant Management Accountant role will consist of:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Maintaining the fixed assets and depreciation
- Gross margin analysis; dealing with various amounts of data and calculating purchases/cost of products
- Collating and submitting rebate claims
- Bank and stock reconciliations
- Supporting with purchase and sales ledger when required.
Requirements
To be considered for the Assistant Management Accountant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:
- Ideally experience within an Accounts/Finance Assistant or Assistant Accountant role, with exposure to accruals, prepayments and journals
- AAT/CIMA/ACCAstudier
- Strong work ethic
- Keen learner
- Strong attention to detail
- Good team player
- Confident user of Excel
